Best suited for
A hatchback suits solo travellers and couples on a city run, a short one way drop, or a quick airport pickup with one or two bags. It is the cheapest car on this site per km, so it is the right pick whenever the trip is short and the group is small. It is not the right choice for a hill route with four or more passengers and full luggage, an SUV or Innova Crysta carries that combination far more comfortably.

How many people and bags fit in a hatchback?
Four seats comfortably, with two average sized bags in the boot. A fifth passenger or a third large bag makes it tight for anything beyond a short city trip.
Is a hatchback available for outstation one way and round trips?
Yes, on any route where the group is small. For hill routes or trips over 300 km with a full car, a sedan or SUV rides more comfortably for the same reason it carries more.
What is the per km rate for a hatchback?

Can I book a hatchback for a local package?
Yes, the 8 hour 80 km local package shown in the tariff table applies to a hatchback the same as every other car type.
Is AC included in a hatchback booking?
Yes, every car on this site is AC, hatchback included. AC may be switched off on steep hill climbs, which is standard practice across the industry.
