What is a one way taxi, and why it costs less
A one way taxi means you pay only for the distance from your pickup city to your drop city, in a single direction. You are not charged for the driver's empty return journey back to his base city, which is exactly what makes a one way fare lower than a round trip fare on the same route.
This is the right choice when you are travelling one direction only, for example flying out of Delhi after being dropped from Mohali, relocating to a new city, or a one time visit where you will fly, train or bus back instead of driving. If you need the same car waiting for you at the destination for the return leg too, a round trip booking works out cheaper than booking two separate one way trips.
Every one way trip runs on the same transparent per km rate shown on this page, with a clear list of what is included and what is billed separately. There is no fixed package price and no surprise total at drop off, only the rate you were quoted before the trip began.

How is a one way taxi fare calculated?
It is the per km rate for your chosen car, multiplied by the road distance between your pickup and drop city, subject to the minimum billable distance of 130 km per day. Toll, state tax and parking are added at actual cost on top.
Why is the one way rate higher than the round trip rate per km?
On a one way drop the driver still has to bring the car back empty, and that empty return is built into the one way per km rate. On a round trip you are in the car both ways, so there is no empty leg to cover and the per km rate drops.
Is there a minimum distance for a one way booking?
Yes, 130 km per day. If your actual route is shorter than that, you are still billed for 130 km. Most outstation one way routes from Mohali and Chandigarh are well past this minimum anyway.
Can I book a one way taxi for an airport drop?
Yes, this is one of the most common one way bookings we get, especially Mohali or Chandigarh to Delhi airport for a flight. Tell us your flight time and we build in enough buffer.
Do I need to pay toll and taxes separately on a one way trip?
Yes. Toll tax, state permit charges and parking are not part of the per km fare on any trip type, one way included. They are charged at actual cost with receipts, and we tell you the estimate upfront.

Is a driver allowance charged on one way trips?
A driver night allowance applies on trips longer than 300 km, charged per day, same as any other trip type. It is listed in the quote before you confirm, never added afterwards.
