What is a round trip booking, and how it is billed
A round trip booking means the same car and driver take you out to your destination and bring you back, waiting with you for however many days your trip runs. This is the right choice for family trips, vacations and any journey where you need a car standing by at the other end rather than making your own way back.
Round trip fare is billed per km for the total distance covered both ways, combined across every day of the trip, subject to a minimum of 250 km per day. On a two day trip that minimum is 500 km, on a five day trip it is 1,250 km, even if your actual driving on any single day was less. Days where you drive more than the average even it out over the length of the trip.
The per km rate on a round trip is lower than the same route booked one way, because the driver is with you both directions and there is no empty return leg to build into the fare. Tolls, state tax, parking and the driver night allowance on longer trips are billed separately at actual cost, same as every other trip type on this site.

How is the round trip minimum distance calculated on a multi day trip?
It is 250 km per day, added up across the whole trip. A 4 day round trip is billed at a minimum of 1,000 km total, regardless of how the driving splits across individual days. If your actual distance is higher, you pay for the actual distance.
Does the driver stay with us for the entire trip?
Yes. The same driver and car stay with you from the day you leave to the day you return. The driver arranges his own stay at the destination, this is standard practice and not billed to you separately.
Why is the round trip rate lower than the one way rate?
On a one way drop the driver still has to bring the car back empty, and that empty return is built into the one way rate. On a round trip you are in the car both ways, so there is no empty leg to cover and the per km rate drops.
Can we plan multiple stops on a round trip, like Chandigarh to Manali to Kasol and back?
Yes, multi city round trips are common and welcome. Tell us the full itinerary when you book so the quote reflects the actual distance, and the driver plans the route accordingly.
Is the driver night allowance charged on every round trip?
Only on trips longer than 300 km in a day, charged per day it applies. It is listed in your quote before you confirm, along with every other charge, never added afterwards.
Can we decide the return date after we start the trip?
Tell us your planned return date at the time of booking so the right vehicle is blocked for the full duration. Extending by a day or two once you are on the trip is usually possible, subject to the driver and car being free, and is billed as extra days at the same daily rate.
What is included in a round trip fare?
The per km rate, fuel, driver charges and the AC vehicle, exactly as listed in the tariff table on this page. Toll tax, state permits, parking and night charges are billed separately at actual cost, with receipts.
Which car is best for a round trip family vacation?
For most families of four to five, a sedan or SUV covers comfortably. For hill routes or larger groups, the Innova Crysta or a Tempo Traveller works better. Tell us your group size and destination and we will suggest the right fit.
